Job summary

Assystem is a leading nuclear engineering group with 60+ years in regulated sectors, supporting complex infrastructure programs. This role leads technical workstreams, guides stakeholders, and ensures on-time delivery from design through commissioning.

You will coordinate engineering issues, ensure safety/compliance, and manage interfaces with suppliers. Ideal candidates have strong communication, risk management, and project leadership skills, with familiarity in nuclear or similar regulated

Qualifications

• Proven leadership delivering technical work in complex, regulated environments (nuclear preferred).
• Awareness of integrated management systems and applicable policies, standards, and documents.
• Demonstrate significant expertise in relevant technical discipline.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and resolving issues effectively.
• Strong working relationships with project team members and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life-cycle handover points on time (design to commissioning) and expedite reviews by stakeholders.
• Manage and resolve engineering issues (EQ, EW, open points, design change requests).
• Engage approval bodies when Safety Case is affected and liaise with delivery teams.
• Set up prioritisation for queries to discharge resolution efficiently for manufacturing and installation.
• Ensure delivery to plan of engineering deliverables with support from key stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support across activities and escalate timely issues.
• Support Technical Acceptance delivery and related surveillance per framework.
• Assist in managing engineering-related risks and opportunities (ARM where applicable).
• Ensure design interfaces and supplier feedback are controlled.
• Support Quality Management Lead in resolving NCRs and drive improvements.
• Follow up equipment qualification programmes to expedite related issues.
