Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Project Lead Engineer to oversee Civil Client work packages within the Client Engineering team. You will lead a multi-discipline engineering team, supervise consultants and contractors, and develop work scopes while ensuring designs meet project requirements.

The role offers 1–2 days of remote work per week with hybrid working; ideally based in Glasgow. A degree in engineering with chartered status and civil background are preferred, and experience in regulated environments

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or scientific discipline is required.
• Chartered Engineer status or progression toward chartered status is expected.
• Civil engineering background is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline engineering team to deliver solutions.
• Oversee consultants and contractors to ensure project success.
• Develop and manage work scopes and perform assurance activities.
• Collaborate with BIM/CAD teams to meet project requirements.
• Review and accept project documentation to maintain quality standards.
• Supervise construction activities ensuring design intent is followed.
• Chair meetings and design reviews to drive milestones.
• Provide technical supervision for commissioning and decommissioning.
• Deliver engineering presentations to stakeholders and team members.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across the project.
