Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, a core part of Babcock International Group, is seeking a Construction Piping Engineer for the Hinkley Point C site. You will lead piping and mechanical construction work packages and coordinate with multiple engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering mechanical and piping systems on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
• Experience coordinating engineers, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction work packages and installation processes.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work and health, safety and quality standards.
• Experience in highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, power or defence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of piping and mechanical construction work packages to support site installation activities.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate and construction-ready.
• Provide technical guidance to construction personnel to enable safe and efficient project delivery.
• Monitor progress against schedules and prioritize deliverables to meet milestones.
• Champion nuclear safety, quality standards and continuous improvement across the construction lifecycle.
