Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking a Piping Project Engineer to join our team on a major nuclear programme, delivering critical engineering packages from design through to construction. The role requires engaging with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, ensuring excellent technical query handling and change control across design, manufacturing and construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction or related field required.
• Experience on technically complex, highly regulated environments; nuclear experience advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of pipework manufacturing, construction or engineering management.
• Experience managing technical queries and engineering changes across design, manufacturing and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support to the Package Project Management Team.
• Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly project meetings.
• Maintain engineering and manufacturing trackers from design release through to manufacturing completion.
• Manage engineering change control activities between design and manufacturing phases.
• Lead the Technical Query process with designers, manufacturers and construction teams to ensure timely resolutions.
• Ensure Technical Query progress is tracked in CDSS like CEMAR and related tools.
• Provide constructability input during design development.
• Support packaging leads and multidisciplinary teams throughout manufacturing lifecycle.
