Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset, is seeking a Construction Engineer to join the Equipment Installation Team. You will help plan, coordinate and deliver mechanical equipment installation across the HPC site, working a 37-hour week on site.

The role requires experience in regulated industries, installation of HVAC or mechanical systems, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or Degree in a mechanical engineering discipline.
• Experience coordinating construction activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience installing mechanical equipment or HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and execution of mechanical equipment installation activities across the HPC site.
• Manage construction work packs and ensure installation documentation is completed and maintained to project requirements.
• Monitor installation progress, identify blockers and drive actions to meet schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors and client representatives to resolve challenges.
• Provide health, safety and environmental leadership while ensuring CDM compliance.
