Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, a core part of Babcock International Group, is recruiting a Construction Engineer for the Hinkley Point C site near Bridgwater. You will join the Equipment Installation Team, planning and delivering mechanical equipment install activities, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and upholding health, safety and CDM requirements.

This on-site role offers a 37-hour week and a clear path for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, engineering, nuclear or regulated industries.
• Experience installing mechanical equipment or HVAC systems.
• Experience coordinating activities across stakeholders and project teams.
• Knowledge of construction processes, planning and delivery requirements.
• Experience supervising or coordinating construction activities is advantageous.
• Qualified by higher education or apprenticeship with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute mechanical equipment installation activities across the HPC site.
• Manage construction work packs and ensure installation documentation is complete and maintained.
• Monitor installation progress, identify blockers and drive actions to meet schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors and client representatives to resolve issues.
• Provide health, safety and environment leadership in line with CDM and site procedures.
