Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset, is hiring a Construction Engineer to join the Equipment Installation Team on one of Europe’s largest engineering programmes. You’ll plan, coordinate and deliver mechanical equipment installation, work 37 hours a week on site, and collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors and client reps while maintaining safety and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience within construction, engineering or highly regulated industries.
• Experience installing mechanical equipment or HVAC systems.
• Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders and project teams.
• Knowledge of construction processes and project delivery requirements.
• Engineering qualification aligned with site safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and execution of mechanical equipment installation across the HPC site.
• Manage construction work packs and ensure installation documentation is complete and compliant.
• Monitor progress, identify blockers and drive actions to keep delivery on programme.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors and client representatives to resolve challenges.
• Provide strong health, safety and environmental leadership and ensure CDM compliance.
