Job summary

Astute People is partnering with a leading engineering organisation to recruit a Civil & Structural Engineer for a nuclear new-build programme. You will deliver structural analysis, design and assessment across reinforced concrete, steel and civil infrastructure within a heavily regulated site team.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering group, you will produce calculations, models and technical reports while supporting design substantiation and regulatory documentation. опы

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience.
• Experience in analysis and design of RC, steel and civil structures.
• Knowledge of UK/international design codes and standards.
• Experience using structural analysis software and digital tools.
• Nuclear/new-build or regulated industries desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural analysis, design and assessment for RC, steel and civil infrastructure.
• Produce and review calculations, models, drawings and technical reports.
• Develop design substantiation and technical documentation for project/regulatory requirements.
• Assess normal, construction, environmental and seismic loads where required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across disciplines (civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, process, safety).
• Support design reviews, technical assurance and engineering queries resolution.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, quality requirements and CDM 2015.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
