Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK in Bristol (hybrid) is seeking a Civil Engineer to support a major nuclear new build programme, contributing to the development, review and update of civil engineering technical documentation and design specifications.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency, compliance with industry standards, and robust construction methodologies across large infrastructure projects in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Knowledge of civil design processes and technical documentation is preferred.
• Experience reviewing technical reports and drawings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering technical specifications, design documentation and deliverables.
• Perform gap analyses to identify updates and changes.
• Update and develop civil engineering documentation and construction requirements.
• Support adaptation of civil designs for nuclear new build projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency.
• Review structures, geotechnical data and construction methods against project requirements.
• Participate in technical workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure documentation complies with industry standards and health and safety legislation.
