Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking a Civil Engineer to deliver design and analysis support for energy projects from conception to completion in the UK, with a focus on nuclear sectors. You will review civil/structural deliverables, produce documentation, and coordinate across disciplines to resolve issues and ensure design integrity.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, proficiency in Tekla/STAAD Pro and Navisworks/PDMS, knowledge of Eurocodes and CDM 2015, and willingness to relocate to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with Tekla or STAAD Pro.
• Experience with Navisworks and/or PDMS.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and CDM 2015.
• Chartered status or pursuing Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Review, coordinate, and accept civil/structural design deliverables within scope.
• Produce building-specific documentation, including handover reports and hypothesis notes.
• Manage and follow up technical open points as the primary interface for the civil designer.
• Support the civil building lead in resolving complex or cross-cutting technical issues.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support design development and ensure alignment across disciplines.
• Lead and track resolution of building-specific technical topics throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and review design documentation, including calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design reviews.
