Job summary

Canford Law is seeking an NQ Litigation Solicitor to join our growing Credit Hire team in our Glasgow office. You will manage your own caseload of Credit Hire and RTA matters from pre-litigation through the litigation process in the Scottish courts.

The role requires some post-qualification experience handling recovery litigation and experience appearing in Court. We offer hybrid working (2 days in the office per week), a competitive salary, and incentives to reward performance.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified Solicitor with Scottish practice
• Experience handling recovery litigation in a busy commercial environment
• Experience appearing in Court (Scottish courts)
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, including diary and deadline management

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of Credit Hire and RTA litigation.
• Progress cases quickly and efficiently.
• Review prospects of success and provide clear, professional updates to clients.
• Gather and review evidence, prepare pleadings, manage disclosure, and draft statements.
• Use the firm’s case management system to record activity and deadlines.
