Job summary

Pertemps South Wales is seeking an experienced Technical Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive new product development from concept through testing, validation and implementation. The role is based in Bristol with hybrid working and a competitive package.

The successful candidate will provide technical direction, approve designs, and steer engineering standards across projects, managing complex programmes and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in system development and integration.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects.
• Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, electrical, software and test engineering teams.
• Provide technical direction and approve designs.
• Oversee product development, testing and validation.
• Drive engineering standards, quality and continuous improvement.
• Work with programme managers and international teams.
• Mentor engineers and manage technical challenges.
