Job summary

BMR Solutions is recruiting a Senior Systems Engineer - NPI in Bristol. Hybrid working and a permanent role. You will support semiconductor manufacturing equipment from requirements through to integration, verification and validation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, 3+ years in the field, and experience with MBSE, IV&V and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust system solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, IV&V, or related field.
• Knowledge of INCOSE principles and ISO 15288 is desirable.
• Experience in regulated/compliance-driven engineering environments is advantageous.

Senior Systems Engineer - NPI

BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer - NPI to join a leading global engineering and technology business based in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to work at the heart of product development, supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment from requirements definition through to integration, verification and validation.

Reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams to translate product requirements into robust system solutions and ensure products meet the required technical, quality, safety and compliance standards.

The Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer - NPI, you will:

• * Apply Systems Engineering tools and methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle.
• * Translate product vision and customer needs into clear and concise system requirements.
• * Develop and utilise Use Cases, Context Diagrams, system architectures and other Systems Engineering methods to bring clarity to complex engineering problems.
• * Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop Functional, Logical and Behavioural architectures.
• * Lead Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities across relevant NPI projects.
• * Develop robust IV&V plans for products, modules and sub-assemblies in accordance with established engineering processes.
• * Verify and validate designs against requirements through calculation, simulation, virtual testing and physical testing as appropriate.
• * Ensure engineering activities are delivered to agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and cost control.
• * Produce comprehensive verification and test documentation, ensuring appropriate records and traceability are maintained.
• * Work collaboratively with engineering, project management and wider technical teams to achieve project milestones.
• * Communicate technical deliverables, requirements, risks and progress clearly to engineers, project managers and other stakeholders.
• * Contribute to the development of safe, compliant and reliable semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a demonstrable equivalent qualification; Master's degree desirable.
• More than 3 years' experience in Systems Engineering, Integration, Verification and Validation, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Experience applying Systems Engineering principles within a complex engineering or product development environment.
• Knowledge of INCOSE Systems Engineering principles and/or ISO 15288 is desirable.
• Experience working within a regulated or compliance-driven engineering environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of product safety, risk assessment and engineering standards would be beneficial, including areas such as SEMI S2, SEMI S10, PHA, HAZOP, LOPA and FMEA.
• An understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and semiconductor manufacturing equipment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of verification and validation methodologies and engineering best practice.
• The ability to understand technical requirements and deliverables and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A structured, analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage changing requirements and priorities.
• A results-focused approach with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
• A calm, professional and collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Incorporated Engineer status, or a willingness to work towards professional registration, would be desirable.
