Job summary

Dowty, a GE Aerospace company, seeks a Manufacturing Project Engineer for an 18-month fixed-term contract at our onsite Gloucester team (Brockworth). The role coordinates process, facility, equipment, infrastructure and manufacturing capability requirements to align with project milestones and standards for the introduction of new propeller manufacturing systems.

You will be part of the NPI team, supporting the development of electrified, sustainable aviation and ensuring manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience in project engineering and manufacturing engineering project delivery.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and suppliers to meet milestones in a complex environment.
• Experience supporting installation, commissioning and handover of equipment or manufacturing capability.
• Ability to manage actions, dependencies, risks and interfaces with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, documentation and communication skills across functions.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing environments and how process needs drive equipment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day execution of manufacturing engineering work-packages, ensuring actions, dependencies, and deliverables are clearly owned and progressed.
• Coordinate equipment and facility project activities across internal teams, suppliers, integrators, and site functions to enable safe and effective delivery.
• Support the development and upkeep of project plans, installation plans, commissioning readiness plans, and training/handover plans.
• Maintain clear documentation, assumptions, interfaces, and revision control to support traceability and controlled delivery.
• Track key dependencies, risks, issues, and changes, providing clear updates on actions and delivery impacts.
• Support supplier engagement including meeting cadence, action tracking, document collation, and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate site readiness activities including utilities, access, shutdown planning, permits, and stakeholders to enable installation activity.
• Support cross-functional alignment across engineering, facilities, quality, HSE, IT/OT, sourcing, operations, and external partners.
