Job summary

GE Aviation Systems Limited in Gloucestershire is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an 18-month fixed-term role within the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will work on metallic components and assembly processes for propeller systems, turning design intent into robust production solutions with hands-on trials and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at HNC level or above.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering within an assembly or metallic component environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design collaboration to ensure manufacturability and assembly considerations are built in throughout product development.
• Plan and run hands-on trials across materials and processes with proper risk assessments.
• Develop and validate production techniques from raw material to finished product.
• Create robust process parameters with SQDC focus in decision making.
• Contribute to APQP, FMEA and control plans for internal and supplier quality.
