Job summary
Motorola Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Operations & NPI Engineer to join our Cambridge team. You will drive the readiness of new products for manufacture, develop processes and SOPs, and support DFMA reviews to ensure smooth transfer from design to production.
You will coordinate prototype, pilot and production builds, oversee process validation, and apply Lean methods to improve efficiency and quality across manufacturing and supplier networks.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production/Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years in Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or NPI roles.
- Experience from development through to production launch.
- Supplier quality management experience and development.
- ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge and application.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product introduction.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Support DFMA reviews and transfer from design to manufacture.
- Manage prototype, pilot, and production builds.
- Drive CAPA and continuous improvement using Lean methods.
