Job summary
EMBS Engineering in Wolverhampton is recruiting an NPI Manufacturing Engineer to lead the introduction of new products into manufacture and to drive improvements across the manufacturing value stream.
This hands-on role requires guiding cross-functional teams through New Product Introduction (NPI) and APQP within a low‑to‑medium volume production environment, translating designs into robust, repeatable processes.
Qualifications
- Experience leading NPI and APQP in low-to-medium volume manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of NPI principles and practical delivery.
- Knowledge of MRLs in NPI programmes.
- Proficient in PFMEA, MSA, Gauge R&R and FAIR.
- Excellent cross-functional team leadership and client-facing communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI activities from design release to production handover.
- Develop manufacturing strategies and industrialisation plans.
- Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and MR Levels.
- Produce PFMEA, MSA, Gauge R&R and FAIR deliverables.
- Lead Value Stream Mapping and drive flow, lead time and waste reduction.
- Formalise procedures and develop supporting forms and standard work.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams through NPI and APQP.
- Act as the primary contact for stakeholders on readiness and status.
