Job summary

Ultra Precision Control Systems in Cheltenham, UK, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. You will create and maintain manufacturing documentation, ensure quality, and drive NPI transitions.

The role requires AS9145 experience, DFMAT expertise, and collaboration across engineering, procurement and suppliers. A strong background in MRP/ERP and Lean Six Sigma is preferred; hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

Strong communication, both verbal and written.
Self-driven with ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Experience supporting AS9145 in an AS9100 environment.
Deep understanding of design, make, prove interface and DFMAT.
MRP/ERP systems knowledge.
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma qualifications.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain manufacturing documentation for new and existing products.
Assure product quality and control by designing repeatable manufacturing processes.
Lead NPI transition from engineering development into operations.
Support design for manufacture and test (DFMAT).
Contribute to supplier selection with procurement and design teams for cost-effective solutions.
Define production requirements for NPI and justify build/test strategies with business cases.
