Job summary

Ultra PCS seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Cheltenham to join our defence and aerospace manufacturing team. You will craft and maintain manufacturing docs, ensure quality through repeatable processes, and lead NPI transitions from engineering into operations.

Collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams will be key. Ideal candidates have AS9145 experience, DFMA/DFMAT knowledge, and strong planning skills, with a background in MRP/ERP systems and Lean Six Sigma qualifications.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to generate clear documentation.
• Self-driven with ability to monitor own performance and meet deadlines.
• Effective planning and organisational capabilities.
• Experience in supporting AS9145 within an AS9100 organisation; ME engagement with NPI.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Test (DFMAT) and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation for new and existing products.
• Ensure product and process quality through repeatable, reproducible manufacturing processes.
• Lead NPI transition from engineering to operations and contribute to supplier selection.
• Define production requirements for NPI and provide business case justifications.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow planning, tooling, and layout.
