Job summary

Spectrum Control seeks an experienced NPI Engineer to drive new electronic products from concept through qualification, production release and ramp-up. You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, process, test, quality and supply-chain teams to ensure products are robust, manufacturable and ready for repeatable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in electronic product development, NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product engineering in high-reliability environments.
• Demonstrated experience transferring electronic products from concept/prototype through qualification, release, and ramp-up.
• Strong background in electronic manufacturing: process development, assembly, inspection, production test and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI activities from concept to production ramp-up and release.
• Represent manufacturing in product development to ensure manufacturability and testability from early stages.
• Lead design reviews and production-readiness reviews across projects.
• Develop manufacturing approaches: process flow, tooling, equipment, inspection and test requirements.
• Plan prototype, pilot and pre-production builds and resolve issues with root-cause analysis.
• Prepare and release manufacturing documentation: BOMs, drawings, work instructions and specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure readiness of components and processes for production.
• Implement design changes and maintain configuration control of docs and processes.
• Handover to production and support early manufacturing to achieve quality and yield targets.
