Job summary

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology in Bristol seeks a Senior Project Manager (New Product Development) to own development and delivery of new products, leading projects from planning through to launch and first customer deliveries. You will drive a joined-up approach across functions, business units and locations and help shape project management practices.

The role emphasizes delivering high-tech NPD, mentoring others, managing costs, risks, and schedules, and collaborating with Engineering,

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science).
Formal Project Management training or certification.
Experience delivering NPD projects in high-tech environments.

Responsibilities

Lead project delivery with clear ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
Identify, manage, and communicate risks, issues and mitigations.
Ensure robust planning, realistic task estimation and schedule tracking.
Own project and product costs with effective financial management.
Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Service and Operations for smooth launches.
Mentor and develop less experienced project managers.
