Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a dynamic Product Development professional to manage end-to-end development of chilled food products from concept to launch. You will drive the NPD/EPD process, benchmarking, and collaboration with internal teams and suppliers across Deeside and other sites.

Based at one of our major chilled manufacturing sites in Deeside, you will occasionally visit the Bradford head office and suppliers, with some weekend work during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Own the Process: lead development journey from concept to launch with care
• Communication: keep stakeholders updated across retail teams, suppliers and internal teams
• Stay on Track: manage timelines and tasks like a seasoned project manager
• Be Detail-Oriented: ensure documentation meets regulatory and consistency requirements
• Collaborate with wider Teams: turn briefs into reality with cross-functional colleagues
• Work with Suppliers: source materials, coordinate with suppliers, handle paperwork for progress
• Get Creative: formulate recipes and samples bringing product briefs to life
• Factory Involvement: coordinate factory trials and oversee first production runs
• Benchmark and Taste: organise tastings and benchmarking to drive improvements
• Evaluate Success: post-launch reviews and tweaks to stay top of market
