Job summary

Computerworld Personnel Ltd is recruiting an NPD Process Technologist at our Somerset site to support development and launch of innovative food products. You will translate concepts into scalable factory processes while ensuring quality, food safety, and customer requirements.

Working with Technical, Operations, Quality and Commercial teams, you will lead trials, manage documentation, and liaise with customers to deliver successful projects.

Qualifications

• Food science/technology qualification required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in food manufacturing, NPD, or process development.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• HACCP Level 2/3 knowledge or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead product and process trials from concept through to launch.
• Manage factory trials, first productions, and process validation activities.
• Create and maintain accurate trial documentation, blend sheets, specifications, and quality records.
• Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate pre-trial meetings, sensory evaluations, shelf-life assessments, and launch reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, allergen controls, and site procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
