Job description

We're looking for a dedicated individual to support all product development activities within our chilled product categories. You will oversee the end-to-end processes of Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD), ensuring timely and complete delivery.

You will be involved in the full Concept to Launch process, analyzing category data to identify opportunities for Morrisons, monitoring market trends to keep our products competitive, and conducting benchmarking sessions to meet targets. The role is primarily based at Greenside manufacturing site, with occasional meetings at Morrisons Head Office in Bradford, site visits, and potential weekend work during peak seasons.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the concept to launch process
2. Assisting the NPD Specialist and Manager in delivering the Site Product Development Plan
3. Participating in customer research listening groups and debriefs
4. Providing category analysis using reliable data sources
5. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure chilled products are industry-leading
6. Working with technical experts to maintain product quality for Morrisons customers
7. Pricing products profitably to meet margin expectations
8. Preparing and pricing samples and products for customer presentations

About you

You should have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and ideally experience in the chilled market and food development processes. Strong relationship-building skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, enthusiasm, drive, and sound commercial judgment are essential.
