Job summary

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG business to recruit a Development Technologist based in Somerset. You will turn briefs into working recipes and own concepts from initial concept through to launch, with hands-on development from bench to customer sample.

You will manage kitchen operations, ingredients and stock for samples, build new product files, ensure recipes meet codes of practice and nutritional targets, and support investigations where formulation may be a factor.

Qualifications

• Food-related qualification or degree with 3+ years in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management and ability to juggle priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• HACCP Level 2/3 qualified or working towards it.
• Excellent communication and IT skills with a genuine interest in food.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPD concept and recipe development with customer briefs.
• Manage kitchen equipment, ingredients and stock for samples.
• Build and maintain new product files including project data.
• Ensure recipes meet customer codes and nutritional targets.
• Support complaint investigations where formulation contributes.
