Job summary

Found Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Berkshire is seeking an NPD Technologist to join the fast-paced food manufacturing NPD team. You will interpret customer briefs, manage samples and drive development from brief to launch, collaborating with Operations, Procurement, Technical and Commercial teams.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• A degree or higher-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or another relevant food-related subject.
• Experience within the food industry, ideally in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Experience within chilled food manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication across functions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer briefs and develop new and innovative products.
• Take ownership of customer samples and product submissions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer expectations while staying commercially viable.
• Plan and lead factory trials through development and launch stages.
• Prepare for customer presentations with samples, costings, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate recipe and process documentation and update development systems.
• Manage development activity against critical paths and milestones.
• Keep up-to-date with food trends and market insights to drive ideas.
