Job summary

A seasoned HVAC Multi-Skilled Engineer is sought in Nottingham to join our facilities maintenance team, covering planned and reactive work across building services, plant and critical equipment. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and timely fault diagnosis and repair.

You will perform PPM and reactive work on HVAC systems, service VRV/VRF units, monitor via BMS, supervise contractors, and participate in an on-site rota. Competitive PAYE rate applied across a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

Recognised apprenticeship or time-served engineering qualification.
Proven experience in commercial HVAC maintenance.
City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical qualification.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
Experience maintaining VRV/VRF systems.
Valid F-Gas certification and refrigerant handling.
Experience supervising contractors.
Ability to prepare risk assessments and permits.
Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across HVAC systems and building services equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide range of HVAC plant and associated equipment.
Maintaining and servicing VRV/VRF air conditioning systems.
Monitoring environmental conditions and supporting building performance through Building Management Systems (BMS).
Identifying critical plant risks and implementing improvements to reliability, efficiency, and performance.
Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards.
Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
