We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong HVAC experience to work in a varied role encompassing planned and reactive maintenance across building services, plant, and critical equipment.

Pay Rate - £21.64 per hour PAYE
Working hours - 40 Hours Per Week | Monday to Friday | 07:30 - 16:30
What You'll Be Doing:As an HVAC Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of site plant and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across HVAC systems and building services equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide range of HVAC plant and associated equipment.
- Maintaining and servicing VRV/VRF air conditioning systems.
- Monitoring environmental conditions and supporting building performance through Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Identifying critical plant risks and implementing improvements to reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Supporting the continuous development of preventative maintenance programmes.
- Providing both mechanical and electrical expertise to the wider maintenance team.
- Completing maintenance documentation in accordance with statutory and site requirements.
- Producing and adhering to Risk Assessments, Method Statements, permits, and safe systems of work.
- Using CAFM systems and mobile technology to manage and record maintenance activities.
- Liaising with site management regarding building services issues and maintenance requirements.
- Supporting health, safety, and energy management initiatives across the site.
- Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards.
- Acting as the responsible person for the team and providing supervisory cover when required.
- Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Working overtime, including evenings and weekends, when required by operational demands.
What We're Looking For
- Recognised Apprenticeship or Time-Served Engineering qualification.
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC maintenance.
- Mechanical qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
- Experience maintaining VRV/VRF air conditioning systems.
- Valid F-Gas certification and experience handling refrigerants safely.
- Good multi-skilled engineering capability, including mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
- Experience supervising contractors.
- Ability to prepare and follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements, permits, and safe systems of work.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience using CAFM systems and mobile maintenance technology.
- Working at Height qualification.
- IPAF certification.
- PASMA certification.
- Authorised Person (AP) qualifications.
- Building Management System (BMS) experience.
