Job summary

Comton Group is seeking an External Sales Representative for the North West region. This field-based role will involve about 70% travel and 30% office work, focusing on new business development and key account growth within manufacturing and engineering sectors.

You will engage with OEMs, SMEs and Tier 1/2 suppliers, promoting fasteners, tools, brackets and related components while building lasting customer partnerships and meeting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in external sales.
• Background in industrial distribution, ideally servicing manufacturing sectors.
• Experience selling fasteners, fixings, tools, engineering components or similar industrial products.
• Exposure to OEM customers, SMEs and/or Tier 1 & Tier 2 manufacturers.
• Hunter mentality with drive to generate new leads and close opportunities.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage your own territory, plan visits and workload.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, target and win new business across the North West.
• Develop and grow existing customer accounts to maximise sales opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in manufacturing and engineering.
• Promote a range of industrial products including fasteners, tools, brackets and components.
• Identify customer requirements and provide tailored product and supply solutions.
• Manage your territory, plan customer visits and maintain a strong pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal sales and support teams to deliver excellent customer service.
