Service Care Solutions is collaborating with a leading national provider within Substance Misuse to fill a position for a Non Medical Prescriber (NMP).

This is a permanent role, seeking an experienced NMP to start as soon as possible.

Under the guidance of the NMP Lead, Assistant Medical Director, and Services Medical Lead, you will be part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team delivering recovery-oriented alcohol and drug intervention services.

Responsibilities of the Non Medical Prescriber:

1. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for service users.
2. Clinically assess service user needs and plan appropriate clinical care.
3. Diagnose and manage cases based on individual needs, integrating drug and non-drug treatments into management plans, in collaboration with the Recovery Coordinator.
4. Identify and assess the suitability of service users for inpatient alcohol and opioid detoxification when appropriate.
5. Proactively review and manage clinical treatment plans.
6. Prescribe and review medications for therapeutic effectiveness, aligned with evidence-based practices, protocols, and within scope of practice.
7. Work with service users to support adherence to prescribed treatments.
8. Provide information on prescribed, illicit, and over-the-counter medications, including side effects and interactions.
9. Prioritize health issues and intervene appropriately, seeking immediate advice from the Clinical Lead in complex or urgent situations.
10. Assess, identify, and refer patients with mental health needs.
11. Assess, update, and refer service users for BBV vaccination and immunization programs. Support health promotion strategies for healthy lifestyles.

Requirements for the Non Medical Prescriber:
