Job summary

ASDA in Poole is seeking a Non Food Manager to lead the George and GM departments, ensuring top availability and exceptional shop floor standards through brilliant execution, seasonal events and theatre in store.

You will drive trading activity, coach your team and foster a customer‑centric culture while keeping the store safe and compliant with legal requirements. A retail leadership background and a passion for delivering results are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

What qualities you’ll need:

• Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs through routine and processes.
• Lead with impact: Engaging and coaching your team to constantly improve routine and process whilst creating a culture of selling our customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and get one more item in every basket.
• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor and promotional activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda by ensuring products are clearly labelled and displayed to promote sell through.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the "Asdaness" to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.
