Job summary

Asda in Basingstoke is seeking a Non-Food Manager to lead the George and GM departments on the shop floor, delivering peak availability and high standards through strong execution, seasonal events and theatre in-store while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will drive trading activity, coach a team, and maintain excellent customer service with flexibility to work across shifts including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments.
• Knowledgeof improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor and promotional activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda by ensuring products are clearly labelled and displayed to promote sell through.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the “Asdaness” to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.
