Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Non Food Manager to lead the George and GM departments on site in Kingshill. You will drive availability, enhance shop floor standards, and execute seasonal events with excellent in-store theatre. The role focuses on safe, legal store operations for customers and colleagues.

You will lead a team, develop staff, and ensure promotions are delivered to brief, on time and with compelling displays while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs through routine and processes.
• Lead with impact: Engaging and coaching your team to constantly improve routine and process whilst creating a culture of selling our customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and get one more item in every basket.
• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor and promotional activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda by ensuring products are clearly labelled and displayed to promote sell through.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the Asdaness to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.
