Job summary

Quickline Communications is seeking a proactive NOC Engineer to monitor and manage our Willerby-based network infrastructure, including 5G and radio links. The role is onsite and demands vigilance in a fast-paced environment.

You will respond to outages, manage incidents, and improve security and change processes while working with tools like Zabbix and Sonar. A strong grasp of routing, VLANs, subnetting, and MS Windows systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a NOC Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with network switching, VLANs and routing protocols.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced network environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Experience with RCAs and RFOs is a plus.
• Knowledge of Zabbix and Sonar is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the Quickline infrastructure, radio, and 5G networks.
• Respond rapidly to outages and alarms.
• Implement key management of problem and change policy.
• Manage incidents and report on issues affecting the network.
• Oversee network security including site access and cabinet security.

Salary: £24,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience working as a NOC Engineer or in a similar role
• Experience in network switching, FWA 5Ghz, VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced network environment
• Excellent working knowledge of systems, including Microsoft packages
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working on RCAs and RFOs
• Working knowledge of SONAR and Zabbix preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the Quickline infrastructure, radio, and 5G networks
• Rapidly react to issues, outages, and alarms
• Implement key management of Quickline problem and change policy
• Manage incidents and report on potential issues affecting the Quickline network
• Manage security on the Quickline network, including access to sites, street cabinets, and key secure locations
