Job summary

Holmes Care Group is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Service Manager in running a care home in Scotland. You will oversee nursing care, supervise staff, manage medicine administration, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining resident safety and well-being.

The role requires current NMC registration and a relevant nursing qualification, with opportunities for ongoing training and professional development within a values-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration.
• Relevant nursing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager with targets by promoting high standards of nursing care and supervising staff.
• Manage the home in the absence of the Service Manager.
• Assist the Service Manager with audits to ensure compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Support ER matters (absence management and disciplinary hearings).
• Oversee all aspects of medicine management and ensure safe administration of medication per NMC Standards.
• Ensure care, health and safety governance is implemented for residents.
• Maintain records and documentation including care plans and medication.
• Ensure care quality standards are consistently achieved.
