Job summary

SSE plc is seeking an experienced NIS Project Delivery Manager to lead a team of NIS Physical Security Advisors and drive security and resilience initiatives for SSE's critical infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering programmes that meet regulatory requirements and business priorities across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects in security, regulatory, or critical infrastructure contexts.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and governance documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience or knowledge of the NIS Regulations is desirable.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple workstreams.
• Comfortable with 12‑month fixed-term or secondment arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery of NIS-related projects to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and governance documentation.
• Collaborate across the business to implement physical security and resilience improvements.
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify risks and dependencies and develop mitigation plans.
• Oversee budgets and compliance, supporting continuous improvement.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and contractors to deliver safely.
