Job summary

SSEN Transmission is hiring a Cyber Resilience Delivery Lead to turn our Operational Technology security strategy into high‑impact delivery. You will lead delivery teams to build secure security products, platforms and capabilities that support the electricity network of the future and the UK's journey to net zero.

You will own end‑to‑end delivery across the product lifecycle, combine Waterfall and Agile governance, and manage cost, resources and progress while building trusted relationships

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT security in OT or similar regulated environments.
• Proven track record leading multiple delivery teams.
• Experience with Waterfall governance and Agile methodologies (Prince2/APM/PMP).
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage delivery budgets and risks.
• Experience in complex, regulated energy/IT environments.

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow or Inverness

Salary: £59,800 - £89,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As a Cyber Resilience Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in turning our Operational Technology Security Strategy and Vision into real, high-impact change. You’ll lead talented project delivery teams to deliver the Security products, platforms and capabilities that help SSEN Transmission build and secure the electricity network of the future — supporting the UK’s journey to net zero and enabling cleaner, more secure energy for generations to come. This is a role where your leadership will make a tangible difference, ensuring every delivery is focused on customer needs, business value and meaningful outcomes.

You’ll be accountable for leading end-to-end delivery across the product lifecycle and roadmap, bringing together people, partners and plans to create solutions that genuinely help the business perform better. Using the right blend of waterfall and Agile delivery approaches, you’ll provide strong control over cost, resources and progress, while empowering teams to deliver at pace and with purpose — helping us modernise how we work, accelerate digital transformation and contribute to a low-carbon

You will

• Lead product, delivery and stakeholder teams across the full lifecycle, ensuring systems and services deliver clear outcomes on time, within budget and without creating technical debt.
• Share clear, regular updates that show progress, performance and value delivered against agreed outcomes and the product roadmap.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with delivery teams and stakeholders at every level, creating the alignment needed to make complex interfaces work seamlessly.
• Drive the delivery of Security technology solutions that create tangible business value, support strategic priorities and help accelerate our transition to a smarter, low-carbon future.
• Lead 3rd party supplier relationships with confidence and clarity, ensuring partners and stakeholders stay focused on shared deliverables, outcomes and long-term value.

You have

• Ability to manage complex delivery in a complex regulated environment, potentially including applying remedial measures where appropriate. Ideally this will also be within an Operational Technology, Security, or adjacent environment.
• Demonstrable experience of running successful delivery with multiple delivery teams – have strong technical knowledge to provide delivery teams with support and guidance
• Experience in applying various Waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio.
• Ability to provide leadership and focus for the delivery teams, building strong capability within relevant area
• Experience of having shaped business cases and delivering tangible benefits to an organisation.
