Job summary

Peters Dean Care Ltd is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to provide calm, reliable care for young people in residential settings during the night. You will help maintain safety, support wellbeing, and respond to incidents, while ensuring detailed handovers to day staff.

The role requires night shifts from 10pm to 8am on a rota basis, a full UK driving licence, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or adults with complex needs in residential settings.
• Ability to work 10pm-8am nights on a rota basis.
• Strong safeguarding and record-keeping skills.
• Calm, resilient, and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, wellbeing and security of young people overnight.
• Carry out welfare and security checks as per care plans and risk assessments.
• Provide emotional support and respond to incidents or emergencies.
• Complete accurate records, reports and handovers to day team.
• Work with colleagues to ensure consistent care.
