Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker for waking nights in Crook, County Durham. You will support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing reassurance and supervision through the night.

The role involves welfare checks, safeguarding, accurate record-keeping and handovers to the day team, with a focus on creating a safe, welcoming home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people in residential settings.

• Strong communication and boundary-setting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties overnight.
• Carry out welfare checks and follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain a safe, calm environment and uphold safety procedures.
• Record, report and handover information accurately.
• Respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns with appropriate action.
• Support morning handovers and prep for the day team.
