Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a Nightshift Smart Repairer at Chesterfield Motorstore. You will carry out smart repairs on our vehicle stock to a high standard, with a focus on detail and precision.

The role requires energy, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. The position offers a 44-hour week (Mon-Thu 7:30pm–7am), competitive pay with up to £50,000 OTE plus benefits, and regular salary reviews.

Qualifications

• Smart repair or spray painting experience required.
• Excellent eye for detail and ability to work accurately.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to work on your own initiative and stay motivated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paintwork (masking included).
• Carry out minor damage repairs and polish to remove defects.
• Mix and apply paint products to a high standard.

About the role

As a Smart Repair technician, you’ll carry out smart repairs to our vehicle sales stock to an excellent standard.

The right person for the job will be energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own initiative, and excellent people skills. What’s more, you’ll have a great eye for detail and take pride in doing a meticulous job.

Day-to-day duties

• Preparing vehicles for paintwork (including masking)
• Carrying out minor damage repairs
• Polishing to remove defects from vehicle paintwork
• Mixing paint to apply to vehicles
• Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard

Essential skills

• A full UK driving licence
• Smart repair/Spray painting experience
• An excellent eye for detail
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to work on your own initiative
