Job summary

Printed.com in the UK is seeking a finishing operator to manage saddle stitch machines and complete finishing steps including cutting, binding, laminating and folding. You will perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment to ensure on-time delivery.

Role includes night shifts (10pm–6am) with a salary of 25k–27k depending on experience; opportunities for overtime and career growth in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating saddle stitch machines (Duplo I-Saddle and Horizon preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finished products.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Capable of troubleshooting and resolving finishing process issues.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and overtime.
• Good physical condition; able to lift 20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Execute finishing processes: cutting, binding, laminating and folding.
• Quality checks on finished products to meet standards and customer expectations.
• Operate and maintain finishing equipment; troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance.
• Manage workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Prepare printed materials for finishing processes.
• Set up saddle stitch machines per job specifications; adjust for size and trim.
• Load paper and materials; ensure proper alignment and registration.
• Monitor machine operations; troubleshoot jams or misfeeds.
• Coordinate with team leaders to prioritise jobs and meet deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

• Operate and maintain finishing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.
• Manage workflow efficiently to meet production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
• Handle and organize printed materials, preparing them for finishing processes.
• Set up saddle stitch machines according to job specifications, including adjusting settings for paper size, fold types, and trim sizes.
• Load paper and other materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment and registration.
• Monitor machine operations during production runs to ensure quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment, such as jams or misfeeds.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
• Coordinate with team leaders to prioritize jobs and meet production deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

10pm - 6am shift

25-27K depending on experience
