First Military Recruitment are seeking experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for permanent night shifts in South Ockendon, Essex.

You will join a professional night transport operation, operating Class 1 vehicles, performing checks, and ensuring loads are moved safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Driver CPC.
• Class 1 HGV driving experience.
• Night driving experience desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a transport team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Class 1 vehicles during night shifts.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Ensuring transport and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport legislation.
• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle care and presentation.
• Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely.
• Working closely with the night transport and depot teams.
• Maintaining a professional approach when representing the company.
• Ensuring all duties are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
