Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a night shift role in Headcorn, near Maidstone. Immediate start available. The role focuses on safe operation of a counterbalance forklift, loading/unloading, and stock movements in a busy warehouse and yard.

Experience with PPT and a valid forklift licence are essential. Own transport is required due to location and night hours. Temp-to-perm opportunity with potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience as a Counterbalance Forklift Driver.
• PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) experience required.
• Own transport due to location and night shift hours.
• Committed to warehouse health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Move stock around warehouse and external yard.
• Utilise PPT equipment for pallet movements.
• Support goods-in and goods-out operations.
• Maintain accurate stock movement records.

Counterbalance Forklift Driver – NIGHT SHIFT ONLY - Immediate Start Available

Location: Headcorn, Near Maidstone, Kent

Pay: £15.50 per hour PAYE via Pertemps

Shift: Monday to Friday – 23:00 – 07:00

Contract: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation based in Headcorn, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver seeking a long-term night shift role with the potential to secure a permanent position. The successful Counterbalance Forklift Driver will be working within a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment, supporting the movement of goods and stock throughout the operation.

Duties

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse and external yard
• Using PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) equipment
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations
• Stock movement and pallet handling

Requirements

• Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Previous experience as a Counterbalance Forklift Driver
• PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) experience
• Good awareness of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Own transport is essential due to the location and night shift hours
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently
