Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Care Assistant - Nights at Westbourne Tower Care Home in Bournemouth to support residents with high-quality personal care and to maintain continuity of service within a close-knit team.

Experience is not required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided. DBS disclosure is required and applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and others in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to continuity of services for residents.
• Assist residents in personal hygiene to maintain independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise clinical risk areas in residents and escalate identified risks timely.
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
• Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
