Job summary

Linnaeus Veterinary Limited is hiring a Night Veterinary Surgeon for Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS) in Livingston. The role focuses on overnight inpatient care, emergency case management, and decision-making with support from experienced nursing staff and veterinary specialists.

The position operates on a 7 nights on / 14 nights off pattern, 7pm–7am, offering an excellent opportunity to develop overnight practice skills in a well-equipped referral hospital.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with live registration and ability to work independently overnight.
• Experience with inpatient management and emergency cases preferred.
• Proficiency in communicating with clients and team members during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inpatients and emergency presentations overnight.
• Assess and manage caseload with nursing and specialists.
• Make clinical decisions with support from the team.
• Communicate clearly with clients about care plans.
• Collaborate with Specialists when needed.
