Job summary

Links Veterinary Group in Scotland is seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join the out-of-hours team. The role offers 12-hour night shifts with a 4 on/8 off pattern and around 28.07 hours per week, with average hours including holiday cover.

You will manage emergency and critical care cases, make independent clinical decisions, and work alongside a skilled nursing team to deliver high-quality care through the night.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration.
• Experience in emergency and critical care.
• Ability to work in a sole-charge environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage emergency and critical care cases overnight.
• Provide high-quality patient care with confident clinical decisions.
• Work effectively within a sole-charge environment.
• Perform emergency procedures and surgeries when required.
• Monitor inpatients and respond to changes in condition.
• Communicate clearly with clients about treatment and care.
• Collaborate with night nursing team to ensure excellent care.
• Provide clear handovers to daytime team.
