Job summary

Lime Trees Care Home in Shrewsbury is seeking a Night Unit Manager to lead and develop a care team, ensuring high quality, person-centred care across the unit. You will manage day-to-day operations, maintain standards and support a safe, well-organised environment.

You will oversee care delivery in line with care plans and regulatory requirements, support wellbeing, and ensure accurate documentation and effective communication with the Home Manager, families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Medication administration training with competency.
• Previous experience leading or managing a care team.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and accountable approach to care delivery.
• A caring, compassionate and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the care team to deliver high quality, person centred care.
• Oversee day-to-day operational management of the unit and ensure standards are maintained.
• Coordinate delivery of care aligned to individual care plans and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as care plans, risk assessments and daily records.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuous improvement.
