Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Transport Operator to help run our distribution network efficiently. You will contribute to achieving productivity targets and KPIs within budget, support Partners in Transport teams, and deputise for the Transport Section Manager when needed.

The role requires full-time hours (37.5 per week) across seven days, including weekends, with night shifts from 22:00 to 06:00. The candidate should have strong literacy, numeracy, and health & safety knowledge, plus

Qualifications

• Must have good literacy and numeracy.
• Must have good computer literacy.
• Knowledge of basic Health and Safety procedures.
• Experience in Supply Chain.
• Experience in Transport/Warehouse Office roles.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise health and safety for transport team members.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the transport area.
• Ensure compliance with EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Support the management team and foster development for Partners.
