Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Transport Operator to help run our distribution network efficiently, ensuring KPIs and customer service standards are met within budget.

You'll help manage the transport office, support Partners within the Transport teams, and deputise for the Transport Section Manager when required. The role includes night shifts (37.5 hours across seven days, including weekends) from 22:00 to 06:00.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy; able to work with basic IT systems.
• Knowledge of basic Health and Safety procedures.
• Supply Chain and Transport/Warehouse Office experience.
• National CPC qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the health & safety of all those working in the transport team is top priority and the appropriate procedures are adhered to.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
• Ensuring operation remains compliant under EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Supporting the management team with Partners and creating an environment for development.
