Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Transport Operator to help run the distribution network, covering night shift 22:00–06:00, 37.5 hours across seven days. You will help manage the transport office and support Partners within the Transport teams, deputising for the Transport Section Manager when off duty.

You will contribute to safety, housekeeping, and compliance under Working Time Directive while supporting the management team and creating an environment for development.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Knowledge of basic Health and Safety procedures.
• Supply Chain experience.
• Transport/Warehouse Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health & safety of all those working in the transport team is top priority and the appropriate procedures are adhered to.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Ensure the operation and those working in it remain fully compliant under EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Support the management team with their Partners and creating an environment for development.
